What to Expect in Your Initial Consultation

Color-flow venous duplex ultrasound has emerged as the new gold standard for detecting and treating chronic venous insufficiency. It is comfortable, safe, and non-invasive. It’s considered so safe, in fact, that physicians routinely use it to examine a fetus during pregnancy.

Performing ultrasound exams to accurately detect venous insufficiency requires considerable training and experience. Exams performed by hospitals and doctors who do not specialize in the treatment of leg-vein disease are usually inadequate for diagnosing and treating venous insufficiency.
